Geri Halliwell arrives at Bahrain GP alongside Christian Horner after Google Drive leaks

It's the first time Geri Halliwell has been spotted with Christian Horner he was cleared by a Red Bull investigation

Geri Halliwell has been spotted in the paddock of the 2024 Bahrain Grand Prix alongside under-fire husband Christian as the fallout from the Red Bull investigation into accusations of inappropriate and controlling behaviour continues.

It’s the first time the Spice Girl, who married Horner in 2015, has been seen in public with the under-fire team principal since the bombshell leak of a Google Drive of ‘evidence’ from the investigation which shows messages and photos allegedly sent between Horner and a female Red Bull employee.

Horner denies all accusations and was cleared of any wrongdoing after an investigation by the Formula 1 team’s parent company Red Bull GmbH but the leak – though unverified – is has kept the story dominating the headlines.

Halliwell has been a regular face in the paddock since beginning her relationship with Horner almost a decade ago. She apparently shows a great interest in the technical side of F1 and has also been featured on Netflix‘s Drive to Survive show.

However, it’s thought that she didn’t plan on attending the event with Horner‘s investigation due to be concluded before cars hit the track for free practice on Thursday and hoping the story would end there.

What could happen next?

The investigation into Horner ran throughout February, after an official complaint was made by a female Red Bull employee – who reportedly turned down a £650,000 settlement before the scandal became public according to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.

The statement clearing Horner didn’t offer any more details regarding either the investigation or the allegations – but Sky Sports’ Craig Slater reported the external lawyer hired by Red Bull conducted over 50 hours of interviews for a report of around 150 pages.

However, after McLaren and Mercedes bosses Zak Brown and Toto Wolff have repeatedly criticised Red Bull‘s lack of transparency, Horner was called into a meeting with FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem.

Sulayem and F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali are now considering what their response to the unfolding story should be.
