Max Verstappen topped the timing sheets in first practice for the 2023 US Grand Prix, beating out the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc by +0.156s.
Lewis Hamilton was third for Mercedes as the team got their first taste of new floor upgrades at the Circuit of the Americas, while the second Red Bull of Sergio Perez was fourth ahead of the Haas of Kevin Magnussen.
The session was the only chance the drivers will get to practice around the track ahead of qualifying for the grand prix later on Friday as part of the Sprint weekend.
