After claiming the top two positions in FP1, Ferrari once again showed their pace at the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix with Carlos Sainz leading Charles Leclerc in Free Practice 2.
It was George Russell in the Mercedes who was third fastest, 0.235s behind the Ferrari of Sainz. Fernando Alonso in the Aston Martin split the two Mercedes cars with Lewis Hamilton in fifth.
Both Red Bull cars reported problems with rear grip as Sergio Perez ended the session seventh, and Max Verstappen, who did admit that the Singapore GP wouldn’t be straightforward, was eighth.
Alex Albon retired from the session with his Williams having a power unit issue.
