Charles Leclerc in the Ferrari was fastest in free practice 1 at the 2023 Singapore GP

    -

Ferrari put their Monza woes behind them as Charles Leclerc led Carlos Sainz atop the timesheet in Free Practice 1 at the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix, just ahead of Max Verstappen in the Red Bull

In a session punctuated by yellow flags for lizards crossing the track, the b pair looked fast throughout with Sainz 0.78s ahead of Sainz and 0.126s in front of Verstappen

Lando Norris was another who showed some pace with McLaren bringing a raft of upgrades to the Marina Bay Circuit.

Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell were fifth and sixth fastest, just ahead of Sergio Perez in the second Red Bull

Times though were not representative as the F1 teams were focussed on using the session to test new aerodynamic parts, while conditions were completely different to Qualifying and the Grand Prix itself.
