F1 23 is released this Friday on June 16, and Codemasters and EA have revealed the ratings for the latest edition of the racing game series.
Driver ratings have become a highly anticipated aspect of the game, with fans keen to question why drivers have been given such a score.
Experience, race-craft, awareness and pace is rated to give an overall score. Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso are the three Formula 1 world champions, so find out how they rank.
Max Verstappen โ Rated: 94
The current world champion enjoyed a highly successful 2022 campaign, winning 15 races and taking seven pole positions but has actually dropped a rating from last yearโs game.
Verstappen is rated:

- Race-craft: 97
- Awareness: 85
- Pace: 95
Lewis Hamilton โ Rated: 92
The seven-time world champion was given an equal score to Verstappen for the 2022 game but for 2023 has slipped two numbers behind to be joint second-highest for the upcoming edition.

Fernando Alonso โ Rated: 92
The Spaniard claimed his last championship in 2006 but Aston Martin have given him a huge step towards reclaiming the crown as the team catapulted to having the second-fastest car in this seasonโs F1 championship.
Likewise, Alonso has had a jump in the ratings as he has gained three points overall to be the other second highest-rated driver.
