F1 2023 Qatar GP Sprint Race Starting Grid

McLaren's Oscar Piastri was the class of the field in the Sprint Shootout and will start from first place on the grid for the 2023 Qatar GP Sprint Race

Oscar Piastri will be first on the starting grid for the 2023 Qatar Grand Prix Sprint Race after a sensational lap to claim pole position in the Sprint Shootout, just ahead of McLaren teammate Lando Norris.

Champion-elect Max Verstappen will start third in the Sprint Race, and is joined on the second row of the grid by George Russell in the Mercedes.

It’s an all Ferrari third row for the Sprint Race in Qatar with Carlos Sainz once again getting the better of his teammate Charles Leclerc.

A surprise result for Nico Hulkenberg in the Haas sees the German start seventh, just ahead of Sergio Perez in the second Red Bull after he fell foul to track limits and had his quickest time deleted.

Fernando Alonso suffered the same fate for Aston Martin and is ninth, while Esteban Ocon in the Alpine rounds out the top ten starters for the 2023 Qatar GP Sprint Race.
