    F1 2023 Italian GP – Practice 1 Results

    -

Max Verstappen topped the timing charts in the first practice session of the Italian GP at Monza, with home favourite Carlos Sainz second for Ferrari.

Sainz was just 0.046s behind the Dutchman as the Scuderia look to capitalise on their improved low-downforce package on the high-speed straights around the Temple of Speed.

Verstappen’s teammate Sergio Perez was third, ahead of the second Ferrari of Charles Leclerc and the Mercedes of George Russell.
