After little to no running earlier in Budapest, Charles Leclerc in the Ferrari topped the timesheet in FP2 at the 2023 Hungarian GP, just ahead of Lando Norris’ McLaren.
Red Bull pair of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez found themselves way down the order in 11th and 18th, respectively. While Daniel Ricciardo in the AlphaTauri was 14th well behind his teammate Yuki Tsunoda who was fourth.
Lewis Hamilton was complaining of no grip on his Mercedes was a lowly 16th, but above teammate George Russell who was plum last in 20th.
Alpine expect to have a strong weekend in Hungary, and Pierre Gasly was third with Esteban Ocon in fifth.
