Max Verstappen proved to be in a class of his own at Zandvoort as the Red Bull driver took pole position for the 2023 Dutch Grand Prix.
The Dutchman will be alongside Lando Norris of McLaren, who was over half a second behind the Red Bull, with George Russell qualifying third in his Mercedes.
Williams had a sensational qualifying session as Alex Albon came in fourth, and Logan Sargeant making it into Q3 for the first ever time, eventually placing 10th, after bringing out the red flag.
In Q2, Lewis Hamilton was the big casualty as he couldn’t find the extra pace needed in his Mercedes.
Liam Lawson, taking part in his first ever F1 qualifying session, was eliminated in Q1 after bringing the AlphaTauri home in 20th place.
