It was business as usual as Red Bull and Max Verstappen returned to the top of the Formula 1 timesheet in a rain-affected FP3 session at the 2023 Canadian Grand Prix, with a 0.291s advantage over Charles Leclerc in the Ferrari.
The session began with drivers on the extreme wet tyres, before moving to the intermediates as Verstappen quickly moved ahead of the field. Fernando Alonso was third fastest in the Aston Martin, but over 1.3s behind the Red Bull driver.
A brilliant time from Kevin Magnussen had the Haas driver in fourth, with Carlos Sainz fifth, though he made an early exit from the session after putting his Ferrari into the wall.
Mercedes struggled in the session as Lewis Hamilton could only manage a 10th place, while George Russell was further back in 15th.
