Charles Leclerc after topping a rain-affected final practice session for Sunday’s 2023 British Grand Prix.
Leclerc, who missed Friday’s second practice session due to technical issues, set a time of 1:27.419 just before intense bursts of rain around past half distance ended all dry tyre running.
Alex Albon continued to show Williams’ strong pace at Silverstone by setting the second fastest time whilst Fernando Alonso finished FP3 third quickest, over three-tenths slower than Leclerc.
Pierre Gasly showed glimpses of Alpine’s pace with the fourth fastest time ahead of Lewis Hamilton and Carlos Sainz, who rounded off the top six.
Championship leader Max Verstappen had a low-key session with the eighth fastest time, whilst Sergio Perez languished in 14th.
Lando Norris had to make an unexpected stop at the end of the pits on his way to 12th fastest after a mechanic needed to retrieve a cooling fan from his car.
