The grid heads down under for the third race of the 2023 F1 season at the Australian GP as Red Bull look to continue their dominant start to the year.
Max Verstappen still leads the Drivers’ Championship standings after snatching fastest lap at the end of the Saudi Arabian GP despite a first victory of the year for teammate Sergio Perez, and the Red Bull pair will likely duel for the win once again in Melbourne.
Charles Leclerc won the 2022 edition of the race at the Albert Park Circuit, but Ferrari have struggled so far this season and fallen behind Aston Martin and Fernando Alonso as the second-best team on the grid.
Australian GP 2023 Weather Forecast
Rain is forecast to come in at times across the weekend in Melbourne, with the highest chance of showers during FP1 and an outside chance of rain during the race.

Friday, Practice 1 and Practice 2
There is currently a high chance of rain throughout the practice sessions on Friday in Melbourne with an estimated 55% chance of showers and temperatures of around 19 degrees Celsius
Saturday, Practice 3 and Qualifying
For the qualifying session, temperatures are set to drop slightly to around 16 degrees Celsius, with rain forecast for the morning practice sessions.
Sunday, Race
There is an outside chance of showers during the grand prix on Sunday, but the weather should be relatively mild.
