A combination of long runs and qualifying simulations were the order of the day in Practice 3 at the 2023 Australian GP, with Max Verstappen of Red Bull coming away with the fastest time.
Sergio Perez in the Red Bull had a torrid time. First he was late in getting onto the track due to a problem with the rear of his car, then mistakes on track meant he had to abort three flying laps.
Meanwhile the Alpine pair of Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly looked strong with both cars making into the top five, as rain engulfed the Albert Park Circuit towards the end of the session.
