    Max Verstappen took pole position for the Australian Grand Prix in a fascinating qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix.

    Cold temperatures and chaotic practice sessions meant there was a lot of uncertainty going into qualifying, but Verstappen came out on top from George Russell and Lewis Hamilton.

    Fernando Alonso was fourth, with Carlos Sainz fifth, Lance Stroll sixth and Charles Leclerc seventh.

    Sergio Perez‘s nightmare weekend continued as he crashed in Q1, so will start last.
