Alex Albon feels his former Red Bull teammate Max Verstappen has no specific weaknesses in his racecraft and is the complete package.
Albon, who was teammates with the Verstappen in the second half of 2019 and 2020, has previously stated the two-time world champion could become the greatest Formula 1 driver ever.
“He’s just on top of everything,” Albon exclusively told Total-Motorsport.com. “He doesn’t have any specific weaknesses. So you don’t find him on an off day.
“He’s good at tyre saving and qualifying, so he’s got the full package. To beat him, you have to be one step better, and that’s very hard to do.
“There’s a combination of the team and him working in great synergy. They have a great relationship and confidence in each other. When team and driver work in tandem at the top, they’re untouchable.”
Albon: Tsunoda doing a great job
Albon also praised Yuki Tsunoda fine start to the season, which has seen him regularly outperform his more experienced teammate Nyck de Vries.
Tsunoda was once upon a time mentored by Albon during 2021 after suffering from confidence issues early into his rookie season at AlphaTauri.
“It’s hard to know where that car [AlphaTauri] is because they tend to qualify a little bit further down, but their race pace is extremely strong,” said Albon. “It seems like he [Tsunoda] has got stronger each year.

“I can see in who he is and his confidence, [he] seems to be taking everything in his stride. So he’s doing a great job.
“He’s been driving very well, his racecraft is also improved this year. I feel like he’s been a tough one to beat.”
