F1 2022: Italian GP Starting Grid with penalties applied

After a brilliant qualifying performance Charles Leclerc will start the 2022 Italian Grand Prix from pole position in his Ferrari, but a number of grid penalties mean the starting grid at Monza looks a little different with Mercedes‘ George Russell moving to second on the starting grid.

Max Verstappen, who had qualified second in the Red Bull, will drop to seventh after taking his fifth internal combustion engine (ICE) of the season, with just three allowed.

Further penalties were handed out to the likes of Carlos Sainz, Lewis Hamilton, Esteban Ocon and Valtteri Bottas, among others, which has completed shaken up the starting grid for the 2022 Italian GP.
