Dutch racing driver Nyck De Vries has reportedly already finalized his deal with the AlphaTauri Formula 1 team.
De Vries who made a sensational points-scoring F1 debut at the Italian Grand Prix has garnered interest from as many as three Formula 1 teams, with the likes of Williams, who he raced with in Italy, Alpine, and Alphatauri all rumored to be interested in his services.
However, according to a report from the French publication, Canal+ De Vries has already decided to sign a contract with the Faenza-based AlphaTauri outfit for the 2023 season.
F1’s driver market in full swing
The Formula 1 driver market was thrown into chaos when Sebastian Vettel announced his retirement from the sport in the lead-up to the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Following the German’s announcement, Fernando Alonso quickly jumped ship from Alpine and was signed by the Silverstone-based outfit as a replacement for the quadruple champion.
Alpine meanwhile is yet to fill its vacancy, after 2021 Formula 2 champion Oscar Piastri decided he would be better served by joining McLaren, with Daniel Ricciardo the big loser from this round of musical chairs.

Alpine, meanwhile is interested in securing the services of Pierre Gasly, with the team excited about the prospect of having an all-French lineup represent a French squad with Gasly and Esteban Ocon leading the team.
With Williams announcing that Nicholas Latifi would leave the team, the Grove-based outfit was interested in bringing De Vries back for 2023, but the Dutchman seems to believe his career would be better served at AlphaTauri.
Alpine, AlphaTauri, Williams, and Haas are the four remaining teams on the grid that have yet to confirm their driver lineups for the 2023 F1 season.
