F1 2022 Canadian GP Qualifying Results

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen takes pole position at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve

-

After a wet qualifying session at the 2022 Canadian Grand Prix, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen took a magnificent pole position ahead of Fernando Alonso in the Alpine.

Carlos Sainz in the Ferrari thought he had secured a spot on the front row, only for his fellow Spaniard to put in a sensational lap at the death.

Kevin Magnussen and Mick Schumacher make up an all-Haas third row, with Esteban Ocon putting the second Alpine on row four.

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc only made it through Q1, and never set a time in Q2 as he will be at the back of the grid after taking an extra power unit and thus being handed a grid penalty.
