F1 2022 British GP Qualifying Results

A rain soaked Qualifying session at Silverstone saw Carlos Sainz put his Ferrari on pole position for the 2022 British GP

-

On his 150th Grand Prix, Carlos Sainz bagged his first ever Formula 1 pole position and his Ferrari will be in first place for the 2022 British Grand Prix, ahead of Max Verstappen in the Red Bull

Charles Leclerc could only manage third after a spin on his final attempt in Q3, and Lewis Hamilton put his Mercedes in fourth position.

As the rain started to come down just at the start of the session, Aston Martin and Haas were the big losers as both drivers from both teams failed to make it out of Q1, while WilliamsNicholas Latifi made it into Q2 for the first time this season.

Latifi continued his good form as he took his Williams into Q3 for the first ever time, while Daniel Ricciardo in the McLaren, Valtteri Bottas of Alfa Romeo and Alpine’s Esteban Ocon were all caught out as the rain got heavier and were eliminated in Q2.
