F1 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix – Qualifying results

Max Verstappen bagged his seventh pole position of the 2022 F1 season at the Abu Dhabi GP

Max Verstappen took pole position for the 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, his seventh of the F1 season, and leads his Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez on the starting grid for the race.

Both Ferrari cars locked out the second row, with the Mercedes pair on the third row.

It was a fairytale Qualifying session for Sebastian Vettel in the Aston Martin as he made it into Q3 and eventually qualified in ninth. Meanwhile, the man who will replace him, Fernando Alonso, was only able to make it into 11th.

It was a poor Qualifying session for Haas driver Kevin Magnussen, who, after elation in Brazil, came back down to earth with a bump as he was eliminated in Q1. The Dane was joined by Pierre Gasly in the Alpha Tauri, Alfa Romeo’s Valtteri Bottas and the Williams pair of Alex Albon and Nicholas Latifi
