Max Verstappen was fastest in the second practice session for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, as he underlined Red Bull‘s status as favourites to win this weekend at the Yas Marina Circuit.
George Russell was second but three tenths of a second off the pace, with Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton behind.
Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz rounded out the top six, as the Alpine pair of Esteban Ocon and Fernando Alonso headed the midfield.
Daniel Ricciardo, who is set to be Red Bull‘s reserve driver in 2023, was eighth, from Valtteir Bottas and Lando Norris.
