F1 British GP Starting Grid 2024 – With Penalties Applied

George Russell was fastest in Qualifying, meaning the Mercedes driver is first on the starting grid for the 2024 British GP


George Russell is first on the 2024 British GP starting grid after a damp qualifying session saw the Mercedes driver claim pole position, just ahead of his teammate Lewis Hamilton who starts second at Silverstone.

Lando Norris will start third for McLaren, followed by Max Verstappen of Red Bull in fourth, sandwiched between the second McLaren of Oscar Piastri, qualified fifth. Nico Hulkenberg put Haas in a strong position with sixth place.

Carlos Sainz leads Ferrari‘s charge from seventh on the British GP starting grid, while Lance Stroll of Aston Martin will start eighth. Alex Albon put in a strong performance for Williams, qualifying ninth. Rounding out the top 10 is Fernando Alonso for Aston Martin.

Further down the order, Charles Leclerc qualified 11th for Ferrari, followed by Logan Sargeant of Williams in 12th. Yuki Tsunoda will start 13th for RB, ahead of Zhou Guanyu in 14th for Sauber. Daniel Ricciardo and Valtteri Bottas will start 15th and 16th respectively for RB and Sauber.

Kevin Magnussen qualified 17th for Haas, with Esteban Ocon 18th for Alpine. Sergio Perez will start 19th for Red Bull, and Pierre Gasly, who received a penalty, will start from the back of the British GP starting grid for Alpine.

2024 British GP Starting Grid – Final

George Russell will start on pole for the 2024 British Grand Prix. leading a Mercedes front-row lockout with teammate Lewis Hamilton qualifying second. Lando Norris made it an all British top three for the British GP starting grid at Silverstone.
