Betting odds and favourites for F1 2025 Austrian GP

Find out who is tipped to win as the sport heads to the Red Bull Ring.

Formula 1 returns to the Red Bull Ring for Round 11 of the 2025 season, where markets are placing their bets ahead of the F1 Austrian GP: But who is the odds on betting favourite?

Known for its fast layout, three DRS zones, elevation changes, and heavy braking zones, this track provides an ideal setting for overtakes and high-stakes racing and has produced memorable races in 2016, 2022 and 2024 with dramatic battles for the lead.

And with drama in Canada reshaping the championship battle, punters and analysts are now estimating who will emerge victorious in central Europe as the season could take another chaotic twist as it hits the midway point.

Eyes snap towards McLaren, who face internal challenges after a costly collision between teammates Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri in Montreal that left the former out of the race and bleeding away 12 points to the leader in the drivers’ standings.

With the pair proving evenly matched in both qualifying and race trim, tension could resurface in Austria – something Norris is no stranger to after his fireworks against Max Verstappen in 2024; a incident that also led to his DNF.

Speaking of the defending four-time world champion, Red Bull’s star man comes into this weekend with problems of his own as he continues to sit on 11 penalty points, just one away from an automatic race suspension.

He is also dealing with a difficult RB21 car that ranges from competing to wins to battling for a distant third, but his dominant record at this venue, where he has taken five victories, could allow him to make a difference.

Mercedes arrive in Austria on the back of their strongest showing of the season thanks to George Russell‘s win in Canada, whilst Ferrari are seeking to reverse their decline with an upgrade package targeting the rear suspension.

Can either of them be contenders again? Find out the betting odds and the favourites for the F1 2025 Austrian GP, held from June 27-29.

Austrian GP 2025 Betting Odds: Who is favourite in Spielberg?

Fans who have watched more than a few Grand Prix of this 2025 Formula 1 season will not be shocked to see Oscar Piastri heading the way in the betting odds, with the young Australian backed to beat his rivals for the title once again.

With five wins in the bag and a eight consecutive podiums prior to Canada, the 24-year-old has cemented himself at the top of the standings with a 22-point lead over his teammate, Lando Norris.

Speaking of whom, the Brit is backed as the second-most likely to claim victory at the Red Bull Ring as oddsmakers predict McLaren to carry an edge over their rivals into the latest weekend at the Austrian GP.

Max Verstappen will look to upset the odds again, as the Dutchman comes in as the most-likely racer to pip either of the papaya-coloured cars to victory – something that would delight his Orange Army who will pack the 105,000-strong venue.

Outside of the trio, Russell is the most likely man to spring a shock. True outside odds come from Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari, whilst Kimi Antonelli is given little feasible chance to claim his first career win in the sport.

Outside bets for the F1 2025 Austrian GP

Beyond the headline favourites, the Austrian Grand Prix odds list a host of drivers as significant underdogs. Kimi Antonelli stands at 33/1, while Yuki Tsunoda, Fernando Alonso, Alex Albon, Isack Hadjar, Carlos Sainz, and Pierre Gasly are each set at around 500/1. The probability for these drivers to win is less than one percent, yet the payout for a correct prediction would be massive.

Several others are priced even longer, including Liam Lawson, Oilver Bearman, Lance Stroll, Franco Colapinto, Esteban Ocon, Nico Hulkenberg, and Gabriel Bortoleto. These drivers have virtually no chance according to the oddsmakers, but the risk-reward is enormous with a possible four thousand two hundred dollars from a ten-dollar bet.

This season’s championship fight has become more unpredictable as new names rise and established stars face mounting pressure. The Red Bull Ring, known for its fast, flowing layout and frequent drama, could be the perfect setting for a shakeup. For Norris, this weekend offers a pivotal opportunity to prove his resilience and show he has the grit to fight for the title. For Piastri and Verstappen, it is a chance to tighten their grip on the championship narrative.
