Testing is over, the cars are set, and the drivers are ready to go for lights out for the 2023 F1 season at the 2023 Bahrain GP.
After a three-month break, the teams return to the grid once more for a new season, with the chasing pack eager to close the gap to Red Bull and Max Verstappen at the front of the grid.
Testing this week at the same circuit has thrown up some interesting storylines, with Ferrari and Mercedes both set to push the champions hard once again and Aston Martin looking like a genuine competitive force with Fernando Alonso behind the wheel.

When is the Bahrain GP 2023?
The 2023 Bahrain GP will take place on the weekend of March 3 to March 5.
The pre-race media sessions will take place on Thursday, with Practice 1 and Practice 2 on Friday. Practice 3 and Qualifying will be on Saturday, followed by the race on Sunday evening under the floodlights at the Bahrain International Circuit.

Coverage in the UK will be provided by Sky Sports F1, with every single session being shown live as it happens from Sakhir. For the race itself, David Croft and Martin Brundle will be back on commentary for 2023.
