Formula 1 returns to the Circuit of the Americas for the 2022 United States Grand Prix this weekend, and drivers are doing their best to live up to the saying that “everything’s bigger in Texas” by unveiling some eye-catching new helmet designs.
For proof of that, look no further than Esteban Ocon‘s design.
Coming off a season-best fourth place finish last time out at the Japanese Grand Prix, the Frenchman has opted for a design that pays tribute to his favourite superhero, Spider-Man.
The famed Webslinger is one of Marvel’s most famous characters, appearing in animated TV series, live action series, syndicated comic strips and multiple series of films.
Along with a new helmet design, Ocon will also be fitted with a new upgrade package as Alpine look to fend off McLaren for fourth in the Constructors’ standings.
The Enstone team will reportedly introduce a new floor this weekend, though it will only be available to the Frenchman and not teammate Fernando Alonso.
The Spaniard will be joining Aston Martin next season, and with the move said to also have 2023 in mind, it seems the French outfit are already turning the page on the two-time World Champion.
