Ferrari driver and home hero Carlos Sainz will sport a special helmet design for the 2023 Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix.
The 28-year-old showed off his Spanish-inspired helmet via his personal Instagram page on Thursday ahead of his home event.
Sainz’s special-edition helmet is mostly red to match his Ferrari car but with splashes of yellow, much like the Spanish and Catalan flags.
As a caption to go along with the helmet reveal, Sainz said: “There’s no home GP without a special helmet!”

Oscar Piastri
Sainz is not the only driver with a special helmet for this event. McLaren’s Oscar Piastri has updated his Monaco special with a new sponsor, Quad Lock.
The Australian’s new backers can be seen on the chin of Piastri’s helmet which he also posted on his Instagram stories.
