2025 F1 Austrian Grand Prix weather update: Will it rain at Red Bull Ring?

Latest forecast and race day conditions for the Red Bull Ring

-

Spielberg’s Red Bull Ring is set for a scorching Sunday as the latest 2025 F1 Austrian Grand Prix weather forecast points to more sunshine and heat.

The Red Bull Ring has already seen high temperatures and dry conditions throughout the race weekend, with little relief expected for the race itself.

Both McLaren and Ferrari have thrived in these conditions so far, with Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc leading the way in practice and qualifying sessions.

Friday’s and Saturday’s running were dominated by bright skies, minimal clouds, and rising track temperatures, which pushed up towards 30 °C during the afternoon.

Qualifying took place in hot and dry weather, giving teams a preview of the kind of challenge they’ll face for Sunday’s main event.

This consistent heat has led to higher tyre wear and more demanding conditions inside the cockpit.

Austrian GP weather forecast

Looking ahead to race day, the 2025 F1 Austrian Grand Prix weather is expected to stay hot and mostly dry.

The race begins at 15:00 local time, with air temperatures forecast to reach around 30 °C at the start and climbing to nearly 31 °C by the end of the afternoon.

Humidity is set to remain moderate, while a light breeze will offer only minimal relief to drivers and fans alike.

While the possibility of a late shower is extremely slim, skies should stay mostly sunny, and the chance of rain is less than 20 percent.

Morning lows may dip to 15 °C, but by the time the action gets underway, heat will once again take centre stage. Winds will be light and variable, keeping conditions stable around the circuit.

In summary, teams and fans can expect a classic summer’s day at the Red Bull Ring, with no significant threat of rain and some of the hottest conditions seen all season.

This weather will place a premium on tyre management and cooling, both for the cars and the drivers.
